Tree Surveys
Tree surveys are an important tool that developers and individual property owners alike can use to catalog the various elements of their landscaping and ensure that the trees on their property are properly maintained and healthy. A good tree survey service can provide information and tree care that will ultimately save a landowner thousands of dollars. At Sutton Consulting Arborists, we work with individual homeowners as well as large developments such as golf courses, resorts, industrial complexes, and housing developments. On any given property, especially in Florida, there can be an enormous range of tree types and ages. You might have very old trees nearing the end of their lifespan next to saplings that are just developing their roots. Knowing what types of trees you have, and what type of care each of them needs, is crucial to ensuring the general health of your landscape. The first step we take in any tree survey is to record the size and location of each tree. Our surveys, when complete, can be used as a management tool since they show the exact location of trees and other landscaping features. You can use these surveys to develop maintenance plans, as well as future landscaping budgets. Your tree survey may also include an evaluation of the tree's overall health. There are a number of pests specific to Florida that have been causing acute tree problems. Pine beetles, in particular, have been a real problem, and containing an infestation before it overtakes a local tree population is imperative. Both pests and diseases can jump from tree to tree, and stopping a full-blown infestation before it starts can save you both time and money. A detailed survey can help you determine whether or not any of your trees are at risk for either pine beetles or any other pest or disease. What to Expect from a Good Survey |
