Tree Appraisals
At Sutton Consulting Arborists, we specialize in tree appraisals. A tree appraisal is a specialized service that can be utilized by both individual property owners as well as larger development companies in order to assess the relative worth or value of trees on their property. Tree appraisals are used largely to determine the value of a specific tree or trees that have been damaged in one way or another. Damage may occur due to lightning, a hurricane's heavy winds, or because of another person's malicious intent. You could, for instance, have a tree on your property that was inadvertently but terminally damaged by a neighbor's tree trimming service. In order to make a claim on the damages done, you will need to know the relative worth of the tree. A tree's worth might be based on a number of different factors including but not necessarily limited to age, canopy size, location, and species rating. A tree appraisal can also help you become aware of any hazards the trees present in their current placements. It is every tree owner's responsibility to make sure his or her trees don't become a hazard--we are here to help you with this. Let us inspect your trees and look for hazards you may not even be aware of. For instance, are there patches of rotten wood in any major tree branches or the trunk? Has the trunk of the tree cracked or split where large branches are attached? Are the leaves the proper color and size? Construction or landscaping nearby can also affect the soil composition and relative health of the tree. When we appraise your trees, we'll present you with a picture of the tree's overall health and value, as well as advise you as to the future care of the tree.
