Arborists
In the world of tree care, arborists reign supreme. Arborists have to have a vast amount of know-how and experience in order to treat trees that are currently diseased, as well as predict and work to prevent future problems. At Sutton Consulting Arborists, we take pride in the fact that we represent the first and oftentimes final line of defense for both trees and landscaping. The duties of a good arborist include diagnosing and preventing tree diseases, which requires a variety of skill sets and knowledge bases. For example, a good arborist must have a comprehensive understanding of botany and tree physiology. In order to determine the cause of a tree's decline, arborists must also be aware of an enormous variety of tree pests and diseases. With our 30 plus years of experience, we at Sutton Consulting Arborists have the background necessary to be able to correctly diagnose and treat a plethora of tree pests and diseases. In addition to diagnosing trees, arborists might also be employed to simply maintain a landscape. This might include, but is not limited to, fertilizing and pruning trees. Good arborists are experts at correct pruning (i.e., pruning that goes beyond the level of mere "topping"). Topping is a practice utilized by many inexperienced or amateur arborists, in which the entire tops of trees are leveled. This destructive type of trimming can ultimately be very detrimental to the health of a tree. Arborists Work for both Public and Private Institutions |
