Arboriculture
Arboriculture is fascinating field of study that involves the use of a variety of different skill sets. A good general definition of arboriculture might state that arboriculture is the study and practice of planting and maintaining trees and flora. In truth, though, arboriculture is a dynamic field of study that is continually evolving as we learn more about our surrounding environment. It might come across as counterintuitive at first, but many urban centers employ the services of arborists. They generally use arborists to help them plant and maintain the various trees, shrubs, and flowers throughout the city. Arborists can help city planners determine the proper placement and planting of trees so that they have the absolute best chance of thriving. Parks and preserves might also employ the services of an arborist. For example, arborists working at a park might be given the task of determining the status of the native vegetation, and perhaps overseeing the gradual replanting of various native flora. Arborists might also work with land developers in order to help them preserve trees during construction, and move trees when avoidance simply is not possible. Finding a Certified Arborist |
